Equipment on board
Nothing is more essential for a succesful cruise than good and working equipment. To be prepared for everything, different kinds of equipment are loaded on board (and including a lot of spare parts!) so that operations can continue even though the weather turns bad or some of the equipment needs to be repaired. Some of the equipment belongs to the ship, such as the conductivity, temperature and density sensor (CTD), whereas others are brought along with the CGB researchers or operated by external companies.
Learn about the equipment that we are bringing onto the 2014 cruise in this part of the weblog.
